About the Artist
Dyvonne S. Ayé is a New Orleans-based visual artist whose work melds the past and future. Born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana, Von began his artistic journey by sketching scenes inspired by comic books and anime. Today, he is a fine artist specializing in oil painting. For several years, Von’s been world-building in his paintings; melding historical and traditional African/ African American folklore concepts with strikingly vivid color palettes. Through his practice, Von hopes to inspire individuals to learn more about their ancestry, then express the beauty of it.
